1. Place
Take your time and line up your artwork in the desired print area.
Position your transfer carefully in the desired location on your item. Generally, when using flat heat presses, there’s no requirement to use heat-resistant tape to secure your design in place
2. Press
Press your DTF transfer with medium pressure at 280°F-320°F (160°C) for 10 seconds.
Depending upon some factors such as material, moisture and the calibration of your heat press you may adjust the time or temperature up or down to suit your needs.
If you are using the hot peel method you can peel immediately.
3. Cool and Peel
After pressing your DTF transfer onto the garment, let your transfer cool for a minimum of 15 seconds. Once the transfer feels cool to the touch, lift the transfer from one corner and gently peel back while applying even pressure.
If you are only using a single station heat press feel free to remove the shirt from the heat press completely. Press the next shirt until you are completed the run. Then go back and peel all of them and then go on to step 5 with the whole run.
4. Final Press
Place a Teflon sheet over your freshly peeled design and press again for 10 seconds. This enhances the feel, reduces shine and increases durability.
